IP Transit L3
Sirius offers IP Transit L3 in partnership with global leaders such as Sparkle and Cogent, delivering direct, secure, high-performance Internet connectivity. We are interconnected with major Italian Internet Exchanges (MIX, NAMEX, MINAP, VSIX, RTRT Toscana), with low latency and fast access to global services and resources. The network uses a Dual AS configuration, with AS60501 (Sirius) and AS57264 (Opticonn), dynamically balancing routes, optimising real-time performance and reducing interruption risk. The result is a scalable, stable, continuously available service.
Layer 2 Circuits
Sirius is among the pioneers in adopting SRv6 (Segment Routing IPv6), a technology that makes network routes programmable and traffic control more granular. It enables dynamic flow orchestration, tailored routes for specific applications, reduced latency and simpler operations, benefiting efficiency, scalability and resilience. Our transport solutions range from 1G to 100G. On our own network, we also integrate OTN (Optical Transport Network) for long-distance transport at 10G and 100G, with reliable, secure, stable channels even in high-traffic environments. Together, SRv6 and OTN form a modern, agile infrastructure ready for future challenges.
Services for your offering
Access
Through its presence at major POPs and Internet Exchanges, Sirius enables even smaller operators to expand their portfolios with certified interconnections and point-to-multipoint services. xDSL, FWA, FTTH, premium circuits, LEO and 5G Full Speed access with dedicated delivery kits or Sirius IP bandwidth; a panel for managing circuits independently.
IRIDEUM
IRIDEUM virtualises the telecommunications operator (OLO) and provides full access to Sirius services: monitoring, order management and compliance. It integrates outgoing invoicing, a coverage database and the OLO2OLO platform to automate daily operations flexibly and scalably, in compliance with sector regulations.
Voice Services
Sirius operates a C4/C5 Cirpack voice platform, directly interconnected with the TIM network across 16 dual-connected gateway areas. It offers inbound and outbound voice transit, number hosting for other OLOs, and a proprietary software platform for number portability, DBU, ETNA and NUE112, integrated with OLO2OLO systems.
Infrastructure mapping
Our mapping service calculates service coverage using the EGON database and data from major Italian operators. Your own database can be integrated to provide a view of infrastructure and covered areas that fits your operational needs.
Housing
Sirius hosts operators’ infrastructure at seven strategic POPs: Milan, Florence, Rome, Nuoro, Prato and Piacenza. Each site provides high power availability, advanced climate control, and physical and logical security. Space scales with customer needs, with 24/7 support and continuous monitoring.
DC Interconnections and Colocation
Sirius L2 transport connects data centres, Internet Exchanges, regeneration nodes, POPs and radio base stations. It uses EVPL for dedicated point-to-point connections and EVPN for scalable, efficient traffic management. Sirius also offers colocation services at its strategic sites.
Infrastructure-as-a-Service
Sirius offers VPS with dedicated, scalable resources for business applications, application virtualisation for distributing workloads with high availability, and secure storage. With SDN hosting, it enables centralised, dynamic network management that adapts as the business evolves.
Virtual IX
A peering LAN connects Sirius colocation points. Operators interconnect through BGP sessions with dedicated route servers and exchange traffic with each other and other connected entities, directly and securely.
Monitoring
Sirius’s NOC and SOC monitor 24/7, in real time, network elements, transport links and active services. Anomalies receive immediate attention to protect business continuity.
Voice-as-a-Service
As a Platinum Partner 3CX, Sirius provides an IPPBX service on the 3CX platform in single host mode or with geographical redundancy in High Availability. VoIP communications remain secure and are enhanced with CRM integration, video calls and business chat.
